Leilani Kalb-Palmer

Artistic Director & Educator

Leilani Kalb has been a Theatre Director and Educator at Elk Grove High School for four years, directing eight productions and teaching drama to students in grades 9–12. Her work on Fly By Night and Legally Blonde The Musical has been recognized for fostering collaboration and strengthening the VAPA programs at EGHS.

Leilani earned her Bachelor’s degree in Asian American Studies and her Master’s through UCI’s Master of Arts in Teaching program. Her teaching and directing are guided by a focus on equity and inclusivity, and she strives to create a theatre community where students are encouraged to lead with empathy and love.

Eduardo Velasco

Technical Director

Eduardo “Eddy” Velasco is a designer with a strong passion for technical theatre. Since 2019, he has been actively involved with the theatre program at Elk Grove High School and currently serves as the Technical Director for the Elk Grove Little Theatre Company.

In 2023, he codirected Fly By Night alongside Leilani Kalb. He has also worked behind the scenes in lighting and set construction for two Falcons Eye Theatre productions at Folsom Lake College. In his free time, he enjoys photography and traveling.

Eddy is currently pursuing his bachelor’s degree in theatre, where he continues to develop his craft and deepen his understanding of the arts.
